Bandit King of Texas is a 1949 American film directed by Fred C. Brannon and starring Allan Lane, Black Jack, and Eddy Waller. Dan McCabe (James Nolan) is a gangster who runs a scheme selling government land to settlers under the company name 'The Jewel Land Company' in Elko, Texas. Before the settlers can claim their land, however, McCabe has his henchman kill them. Rocky (Lane) comes to Texas to search for his friend Jim but is thrown in jail after falsely being accused of stealing money. Rocky makes a friend in Jail and the two are able to escape, but then Rocky's real problem begin. He must then find out who put him in jail in the first place and what happened to his friends Jim and Emily, who have disappeared. Nugget (Waller), the town's shopkeeper, is one of the only townsfolk who believes Rocky's innocence. With Nugget's help, Rocky then makes a plan to take down McCabe and his goons.moreless
