Bandolero! is a 1968 western movie that is directed by Andrew V. McLaglen. In the film, Maria Stoner's (Raquel Welch) husband is killed during a bank robbery. Dee Bishop (Dean Martin) is found guilty of the murder and sentenced to hang for his crime. An outsider comes to town claiming to be the hangman but is really Dee's brother, Mace Bishop (James Stewart), who is there to save his brother's life. As the brothers are running out of town, they kidnap Maria and take her as a hostage. They head for Mexico but right behind them is Sheriff Johnson (George Kennedy) and his posse. The Sheriff is after the outlaws but is also searching for Maria, who he is secretly in love with. Despite all odds, somewhere along the journey Dee and Maria fall in love. Just as the Sheriff reaches the Bishop brothers, a group of bandoleros attack and a showdown ensues. Suddenly, the Sheriff and the outlaws find themselves on the same side of the conflict and they hope they have enough power to win the battle.moreless
