Barricade is a 1950 western film directed by Peter Godfrey and based on the novel entitled The Sea Wolf written by Jack London. It tells the story of a labor camp boss who is challenged by daring outlaws trying to prove their point. Kruger (Raymond Massey) is a chief supervisor in a mining camp where thugs, murderers and other outlaws work to pay their debts to society. The ruthless and merciless man and his loyal guards, Benson (Walter Coy) and Kirby (Robert Griffin), make sure no rebellion or any act of disobedience occur on his territory. The Judge (Morgan Farley) provides a constant supply of outlaws who are forced to do mining labor at Kruger's camp and follow his strict rules. However, one day the situation dramatically changes when an energetic and daring prisoner decides to challenge Kruger's authority and bend the rules in his favor.
