Bartok The Magnificent, directed by Don Bluth, is a 1999 animated children's musical that features the character of Bartok (Hank Azaria), who was originally in the 1997 film Anastasia. When albino bat Bartok arrives in Moscow, he begins to do street performances in which he shows great feats of strength. One day, Prince Ivan (Phillip Van Dyke) sees one of Bartok's shows in which he fights off a huge bear, who is actually Bartoke's friend Zozi (Kelsey Grammer). The prince is so impressed by the bat's skills that he gives him a royal ring, much to the displeasure of his conniving sister, Ludmilla (Catherine O'Hara). When the witch Baba Yaga (Andrea Martin) is suspected of kidnapping Prince Ivan, Ludmilla calls upon Bartok to rescue him. With the help of Zozi, Bartok tries to retrieve the prince and fend off the conniving intentions of Ludmilla, who is intent on seizing power while the prince is away.
