Batan Batan Mein is a romantic comedy from 1979 that was directed and produced by Basu Chatterjee. The film was set in India and revolves around a young woman named Nancy Perreria (Tina Munim) whose mother Rosie (Pearl Padaamsee) would love to see her marry a rich man. While on a train ride from Bandra to Chruchgate, Nancy is introduced to Tony Branganza (Amol Palekar) and they instantly like each other. When Nancy's mother discovers that her daughter has a suitor, she tries to push Tony into marrying her. Feeling overwhelmed, Tony is resistant to the idea of marriage. It is now up to Nancy to decide if she will wait for Tony to hopefully come around or start looking for love somewhere else. The music for the movie was written by Rajesh Roshan and the soundtrack includes songs like Na Bole Tum, Kahan Tak Yeh Mann Ko and Suniye Kahiye.
