B.B. King Live is a music documentary of a famous American blues singer-songwriter, celebrating 60 years in the music business, performing live and on stage in Chicago. Director Joe Thomas adds B.B. King to his Soundstage video series, filming the musician playing some classic blues with a few surprise guests. Actor Terrence Howard opens the video with an introduction of King and showing footage of the young blues singer in 1948. King then takes the stage and plays "Bad Case of Love." After a few sets, the younger sister of pop star Beyonc, Solange Knowles, joins King on stage to sing a duet. Thomas then does a short biography of King, recounting the singer's Mississippi roots and his rise in stardom in the 70s. Afterwards, cameras go back on stage, where Bon Jovi guitarist, Ritchie Sambora, jams with King, playing "The Thrill is Gone" and "Rock Me Baby." After introducing his band, the singer ends the show singing the classic hits that made him famous, including "Key to the Highway," "Lucille" and "One Kind Favor."moreless
