Be Cool is the 2005 music world insider crime comedy featuring an all-star cast led by John Travolta, and is now available on Amazon. Travolta reprises his role as former mobster Chili Palmer from the 1995 film Get Shorty. 10 years after the first film, Chili Palmer has become tired of the film industry and is inspired to give the music world a chance. With the help of Edie (Uma Thurman), the widow of Chili's music executive Tommy Athens (James Woods), Chili reopens Athens Records and discovers soulful young singer Linda Moon (Christina Milian). All seems to be smooth sailing until competitive label led by Nick Carr (Harvey Keitel) claim to already own Moon's contract. To make matters worse, the Russian mob is after Chili because he witnessed Athens' assassination, and Athens Records owes money to a group of gangsters, and they have come to collect. This hilarious quirky comedy is a barrel of fun and offers an extensive list of celebrities such as Cedric the Entertainer, The Rock, Danny Devito, Andre 5000, Vince Vaughn, the Black Eyed Peas, Seth Green, and Steven Tyler.moreless
