Beast of Blood is a 1971 horror film written and directed by Eddie Romero. Bill Foster (John Ashley) is an American physician sailing aboard a freighter when he and the ship's crew are savagely attacked by a green ax-wielding monster. Having narrowly escaped an explosion that sinks the ship, Foster clutches to the wreckage to stay afloat. A rescue vessel eventually saves Foster. Onboard, he meets Myra Russell (Celeste Yarnall), a reporter. Soon they land on mysterious Blood Island. A meeting with the natives reveals periodic kidnappings by beastly abductors they describe as "green men." Before long, Myra is kidnapped. Foster leads a team to save her, following a trail deep into the dense jungle. They discover that Myra has become the prisoner of the evil Lorca (Eddie Garcia). Lorca has been performing gruesome experiments on captured humans, transforming them into hideous green creatures. In his laboratory, Lorca keeps alive the monster that attacked Foster, despite having severed its head. Foster and his team must now attempt to save Myra before she becomes Lorca's next viridian victim.moreless
