Bedrooms and Hallways is a comedy film released in 1998, which follows the story of a gay man coming to terms with this age. The film begins with the surprise 30th birthday party of Leo (Kevin McKidd), a gay man who is not happy about getting older. Feeling grumpy, he decides to get away from the party and hides out in his bedroom. It is there that viewers get to see the complicated personal history of Leo. Leo has a flashback to when he meets a straight man named Brendan (James Purefoy) at a men's group. Making things complicated is the fact that Brendan lives with Sally (Jennifer Ehle), Leo's high school sweetheart. Leo and Brendan begin to become friends, and it is clear Brendan develops feelings toward Leo. The two begin a relationship, but Leo begins to wonder if he may still have feelings for Sally. When Leo tells Brendan about his feelings for Sally, he gets upset. What happens next makes Leo question his true sexuality.moreless
