Beef 3 is a 2005 documentary film, a continuation on from Beef 1 and Beef 2, written and directed by Peter Spirer. The film takes a look at rivalries between Hip-Hop hot shots, as well as some pretty nasty arguments, also known as 'beefs', that have rocked the Hip-Hop world. Some of the rivalries and beefs are well-known, or at least expected, like the Lil Scrappy versus the Orlando Police Department beef and the Chingy versus Nelly rivalry. Some, however, are less well-known, like the Bang 'Em Smurf & Domination versus 50 Cent rivalry. Then there are the spats between Ludacris and T.I. and Lil Flip and T.I. Who is shocked that T.I., a relatively new but huge presence on the hip hop scene, is at the center of two major rivalries? Add the back stories to the squabbles, several of which entail something to do with jail and incarceration, and the drama is larger than life, just like these rappers' 'bling.' In an industry where fights are generally actually physical fights and jail time is less of a rarity than in any other section of the music business, a documentary about arguments has quite an interesting story to tell. Beef 3 is rated R for pervasive language.moreless
