Beerfest (Rated) is a live-action 2006 comedy film. The plot revolves around a group of male friends who spend time training for a beer drinking tournament. Their determination emanates from things such as their humiliating failure during a mock preliminary beer drinking event against a German team, their heritage, and that they all have beer-related skills. It's during this time they first discover this makeshift sport. Aside from all of them being able to drink beer in a way seemingly superior to that of an average person, one of them has impressive knowledge of the chemistry of beer. Another used to work in a brewery. Hilarious antics inevitably ensue as these men increase their tolerance through rigorous conditioning with the help of a concerned grandmother (Cloris Leachman) and try to win back their family's honor, proving that practically anything commonly enjoyed as a leisure activity can have roots of deep passion and competitiveness.
