Before Sunrise is a 1995 romantic film starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Directed by Richard Linklater, the story of two travelers on a train on their way to Vienna. When Jesse (Hawke) and Celine (Delpy) meet on the train, there is an instant connection. Jesse is on his way to Vienna to catch a flight back home to the United States, while Celine is on her way to Paris to return to university. Jesse convinces Celine to keep him company in Vienna for the night before his flight, and due to a lack of money, the two spend the night wandering around the city getting to know each other. They discuss the last relationships they each had, and Jesse reveals that he was in Europe to visit his girlfriend, but when they broke up he decided buy a Eurail pass and travel for a couple of weeks. As the night goes on, they develop feelings for each other and eventually it is implied that the two have sex. Before Sunrise spawned a sequel entitled Before Sunset that featured Jesse and Celine when they meet nine years later.moreless
