Beg! is a 1994 horror comedy based on a play with the same title by David Glass. The movie, directed by Robert Golden, is set in St. Caninus Hospital, England, an understaffed, decrepit private medical institution. Despite the filthy wards, the hospital has an underground vivisection ward and a jazz club. One of the doctors working at the hospital, Penelope Second (Peta Lily), is involved in a battle with the administration over budget cuts they want to make in her women's ward. Unfortunately, Dr. Second's attention is turned to more pressing matters when her father falls ill and her lover, the head of neurology, is mysteriously murdered and his corpse is found with a live dog sewn up inside of the stomach. The head of hospital security puts Detective Sergeant Stiltskin (Philip Pellew) in charge of tracking down the killer, but Stiltskin becomes infatuated with Dr. Second, while more bodies start to show up, each one with a dog surgically embedded.moreless
