Bernice Bobs Her Hair is a short drama base on a novella written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The screenplay is written and directed by Joan Micklin Silver. Bernice Bobs Her Hair is an intimate look into the lives of wealthy youth during the 1920s. Bernice (Shelley Duvall) is a shy young woman from a small town who decides to heads to the big city to spend a summer with her flapper cousin, Marjorie (Veronica Cartwright). Marjorie is already familiar with city life and welcomes her cousin into the fast life. Marjorie quickly decides that her cousin needs some lessons in the skills of winning men. Marjorie sets about to tutor Bernice in the ways of the city woman, only to be shocked to discover that Bernice is already skilled enough to have attracted the eye of more than one suitor. What follows is a rollercoaster of romance, deceit, and revenge.
