Best in Show, a 2000 mockumentary directed by Christopher Guest, follows a group of eccentric dog owners who gather in Philadelphia for the Mayflower Kennel Club's dog show. Cookie (Catherine O'Hara) and Gerry Fleck (Eugene Levy), who happens to have two left feet thanks to a birth defect, travel from Florida with their terrier, Winky. Meg (Parker Posey) and Hamilton Swan (Michael Hitchcock), an upper-class couple from Chicago, pamper their dog, Beatrice, even hiring a therapist for her. Sherri Ann Ward Cabot (Jennifer Coolidge), a trophy wife to her geriatric millionaire husband Leslie (Patrick Cranshaw), develops a close relationship with the dominatrix whom she has hired to train her poodle, Rhapsody in White. Harlan Pepper (Christopher Guest), who raises hounds despite his dream of a career in ventriloquy, arrives alone with his bloodhound, Hubert. Meanwhile, another couple, Stefan Vanderhoof (Michael McKean) and Scott Donlon (John Michael Higgins), believe their twin Shih Tzus are certain to win.
