Best of Peru Adventures is a travel film about top destinations both popular and off the beaten path in Peru. Peru's population is around 29.5 million, it's made up of a diverse group of Amerindians, Europeans, Africans and Asians. Spanish is the main language with several native languages also spoken. The mix of cultural groups provides an incredibly diverse country in terms of art, food, festivals, literature and music. Some of the adventures in the film include hiking to potato fields and digging up the vegetables for a community celebration called the "Panchamama" feast or Mother Earth Feast. Climbing the famous Cordillera Blanca Mountains and hiking up to Lake 69 at about 15,000 feet, is another spectacular highlight. The film also shows the El Senor de la Soledad Festival in Huarez, visits to weaver's cooperatives, a visit to the famous ancient Inca site of Machu Picchu, and more. The scenery is stunning, from the mountains and ancient sites to the modern Lima Metropolitan Area.moreless
