Movie Summary

Dennis Dugan

Beverly Hills Ninja in an American film and action comedy made in 1997 starring Chris Farley, Chris Rock and a young Nicollette Sheridan. It is directed by Dennis Dugan and made by TriStar pictures. There is a legend among an ancient ninja clan that the great foreign "White Ninja" shall rise to be the most powerful master ever. When a white baby is washed up onto the Ninja's shore, it's only obvious that the prophecy is true- it is he who has come! Or so they think. This Haru (Farley) grows up to be fat, clumsy and a complete idiot slob. But when a beautiful damsel Sally Jones (Sheridan) calls upon the help of the ninja clan, Haru takes it upon himself to help her expose her dangerous criminal boyfriend and in Beverly Hills, no less. Completely physically inept and incredibly clueless to Western Culture, Haru will need all the help he can get, especially from the impressionable young hotel doorman, played by a fresh faced Chris Rock. Unbeknown to Haru, his clan has also sent it's best ninja, Gobei (Robin Shou) to help him in secrecy to succeed. A hilarious slapstick comedy and fish out of water story combined with bumbling the detectivetale. This is a 90's silly flick that makes even the most serious ninjas smile.
