Beyond Borders is a 2003 adventure drama by director Martin Campbell, starring Angelina Jolie, Clive Owen, Teri Polo, and Linus Roache. Beyond Border is the story of the passionate, but endangered romance between two illfated lovers, set in a dangerous locale. Angelina Jolie is Sarah Jordan, an American living in 1984 London. Sarah is married to Harry Bauford, the affluent son of a wealthy British industrialist, when she meets a renegade doctor, Nick Callahan (Clive Owen), who asks her to accompany him to a war-torn section of Africa, in order to assist him in helping those in need there. Sarah is moved by his plea and decides to accompany him. But once the two are abroad, things rarely go smoothly and they find themselves in a whirlwind time of danger, heartbreak, and even romance. Beyond Borders was nominated for a 2004 Political Film Society award and a 2004 Razzie Award. Beyond Borders is rated R for language and war-related violence.
