Big Shots is a 1987 comedy adventure film about an 11-year-old boy from Illinois. Obie (Ricky Busker) suffers a horrible blow when his father dies from a massive heart attack. Obie decides to run away and ends up in Chicago's south side where he is beaten and robbed by a gang of kids who take his bike and a watch that his father gave him. One of the kids, Scam (Darius McCary) befriends Obie and vows to help him find the watch. The search leads them to a pawn shop owned by a man named Keegan (Robert Prosky) who tells Obie he will sell the watch for $180.00. The two boys set off to get the money and witness two guys who are beating up another man as they try to gain information from him. Unfortunately, the boys get involved in the madness and mayhem of these men who turn out to be hitmen, as they try to make it to the bank to get money for Obie's treasured watch.
