The Big Trees follows ruthless timber baron Jim Fallon (Kirk Douglas) and his crew, who leave Wisconsin to earn a fortune clearing the redwood forests of Northern California. But once they arrive, the loggers are opposed by members of the Quaker community, who consider the trees to be sacred.
