Movie Summary

Big Trouble in Little China is a cult-classic action/comedy film starring Kurt Russell in a story about tough truck driver who gets wrapped up in a dangerous adventure in San Francisco's famed China Town district that leads him into battles with some of China's oldest and most feared warriors. Russell plays Jack Burton, a trucker on his way through town who stops to see his old friend Wang Chi (Dennis Dun). When Wang's green-eyed girlfriend is captured by Chinese bandits, the two friends head to China Town to find the gangsters responsible. It turns out the man behind the kidnapping isn't a petty crook�he's a 2,000-year-old sorcerer called Lo Pan (James Hong) who needs to sacrifice a green-eyed wife to break free from an ancient curse. Big Trouble in Little China is an action-packed film from director John Carpenter that has only gotten better with age, becoming a much-loved popcorn flick on home video.
