Bingo is a 1991 comedy directed by Matthew Robbins. The film is centered around Chuckie Devlin (Robert J. Steinmiller Jr.) and the dog, Bingo. Bingo is a show dog that has been homeless since he was left behind by a circus because he failed to perform properly. Chuckie and Bingo meet when the dog saves the young boy from drowning in a pond. The two characters quickly become good friends, a large part of which may be due to the fact that they are both considered misfits. However, the fun comes to an end when Chuckie's mother (Cindy Williams) and father (David Rasche) discover Bingo and refuse to allow the dog to come with them as they move to a new home located across the nation. The strength of the bond formed between Chuckie and Bingo is put to the test when Chuckie is forced to leave and Bingo sets out to follow him.
