Movie Summary

Released:
1970
Rating:

Bizarre, otherwise known as The Secrets of Sex, is a 1970 British film that certainly puts the "w" in the word weird. Directed by visionary experimental filmmaker, Antony Balch, the film explores the pursuit of sexual pleasure through a myriad of odd and obscure misadventure scenarios. The film is narrated by an Egyptian Mummy that continuously promises that each new vignette will end in absolute satisfaction. Through the series of short scenes we are introduced to new characters, each with their own desires of perversion. Whether it's naked exotic dancers getting fruit thrown at them, a female photographer torturing a male model, a female burglar getting caught by the homeowner, or a nerdy young boy hiring a call girl to have a m'nage-trois with his pet lizard, the film spares no expense at exploiting the strangely erotic. The film was met with enormous success in England, but only after severe censorship. The shocking film stars actors Cathy Howard, Janet Spearman, Dorothy Grumbar, Sylvia Delamere, Mike Britton, Richard Schulman, Anthony Rowlands, Norma Eden, and many more.moreless
