Black Day, Blue Night is a crime/thriller about the strange relationship between a wife, Hallie (Mia Sara) and her husband's mistress, Rinda (Michelle Forbes). Thrown together when Rinda feels compelled to offer Hallie a ride after sleeping with her husband, the two set off on a road trip together. As they begin their journey, the women pick up a mysterious hitchhiker, Dodge (Gil Bellows), who may be a robber and murderer on the run from the cops. Close on the group's tail is a police officer, Lt. John Quinn (J.T. Walsh), with difficult to discern motives. He is interested in the hitchhiker Dodge and the whereabouts of a bounty of $10,000 dollars from a botched robbery. Working off the clock, Quinn presses Rinda to get the information he needs. Black Day, Blue Night is a thriller full of twists and turns and quickly shifting allegiances that will leave the audience guessing until the final frame.
