Black Friday is a 1940 science fiction film that revolves around college professor, George Kingsley (Stanley Ridges). George is hit by a car one day and in order to save his life, his best friend, Dr. Ernest Sovac (Boris Karloff) decides to plant part of a brain from another man into George's brain. The other man whose brain Dr. Sorvac uses is a gangster who was also involved in the accident. George wakes up from the operation and begins to recover, but he is no longer himself. His personality changes, and he begins to act like a gangster. At first, Dr. Sovac is horrified, but this horror turns into excitement when he discovers the gangster has hidden $500,000 somewhere in the city. Dr. Sovac tries to tap into his friend's brain in order to find the money. Meanwhile, another gangster, (Bela Lagosi), is also in search of the hidden fortune. Who, if anyone, will find the money?
