Black Mail is a 1973 romantic Bollywood drama directed and written by Vijay Anand. Professor Ramakant Khurana (Madan Puri) is a brilliant scientist who has developed a successful energy-saving formula. His success has led to major interest from businesses to buy his formula. He was able to develop this formula with the help of his nephew, Kalash Gupta (Dharmendra), a power plant manager. A local businessman, Mr. Mehta (Iftekhar), is not happy about Professor Khurana's situation because it could cause him financial problems. Mr. Mehta enlists the help of his business associate, Jeevan (Shatrughan Sinha), to help with the problem. Together Jeevan and Mr. Mehta devise a plan to cash in on the formula, despite having no business relationship with Professor Khurana. The only problem with their plan is they require the help of Mr. Mehta's daughter, Asha (Rakhee Gulzar). Will Asha help her father and Jeevan with their plan, or will it interrupt her life too much?
