Black sun is composed and directed by Hughes de Montalembert (Gary Tarn). In 1978, Hughes de Montalembert a filmmaker and painter from France was living in New York. He was attacked on his way home by two men. Sadly, during the attack, one of the assailants threw a paint thinner into his eyes, blinding him forever. Hughes did not show any signs of losing hope, he was not discouraged by his new condition. It was a beginning for his career and eighteen months later he began traveling the around world by himself. The movie narrates his story and traveling experiences in the different parts of the world as a blind man. He narrates how he was undergoing challenges for not being able to see and how he discovered the world and human nature without sight. The movie also shows the determination in Hughes to travel on his own despite his condition.
