The Black Widow, also known as Before It Had a Name, was produced by Bidou Pictures and distributed by First Look International. The film was written by Giada Colagrande and Willem Dafoe and was directed by Colagrande. After learning about her lover's sudden and tragic death, the grieving widow, Eleanora (Giada Colagrande) travels to his unique and mysterious home to try and discover who he really was. Eleanora makes her way to his house, known as the Rubber House and is quickly introduced to not only the house but its wickedly eccentric caretaker Leslie (Willem Dafoe). During her visit to the Rubber House, she is aided in her own self-discovery and she becomes romantically involved with Leslie. While she searches the Rubber House for clues and remnants of her deceased lover Karl (Claudio Botosso) she becomes aware of his deeply kept secrets and also learns that like Karl, Leslie too has his own secrets that he isn't too keen on sharing. As Eleanora searches for answers, it is questionable as to whether she'll ever find passion again amidst a twisted world of concocted jealous, secrets and pain. Needless to say, her life will quickly change, forever.moreless
