Blade Runner (Director's Cut) is the 1992 revision of Ridley Scott's classic science fiction thriller about a cop chasing down human replicants in a future Los Angeles. In 2019, a mutiny of artificial human beings on colony planet leads to five replicants hijacking transport back to Earth. Retired Blade Runner, or replicant hunter, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) gets strong-armed into returning to the force by his former boss Bryant (M. Emmet Walsh) and his henchman, Gaff (Edward James Olmos). Deckard goes to the Tyrell corporation, which produces the replicants, to learn about the Nexus-6 model, and he meets the beautiful Rachel (Sean Young), who works as the CEO's assistant. He finds out that two of the replicants were destroyed when they tried to break into corporation's headquarters. Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer) leads the remaining three invaders: Zhora (Joanna Cassidy), Pris (Darryl Hannah) and Leon (Brion James). This revised version removes Deckard's voiceover, as well as significantly changing the final scene. In 2007, Ridley Scott released another revision of the film called "Blade Runner: The Final Cut" which updated the special effects of the film.moreless
