Bleeding Iowa is a 1999 action thriller written and directed by Stephen Goetsch and starring Justin Lauer, Heather Waters, David Schultz, Justin Morgan and Barbara Roberts. Iowa (Justin Lauer) is a convicted felon being transported in a prison van. After hijacking the van, the FBI sets him free in exchange for finding a stash of money he hid several years ago. Believing this task is the key to permanent freedom, Iowa searches for the money. During his search, he meets up with runaway Ellie (Heather Waters). Realizing that the feds have no intention of holding up their end of the bargain, Iowa and Ellie flee with the with the feds hot on their tail. When the duo winds up at a presidential debate, Iowa soon finds that he is the victim of a sinister plot perpetrated by the feds. Now with both his life and freedom at stake, Iowa must beat the authorities at their own game.
