Blind Date is about a couple who takes a different approach than usual to help repair their damaged marriage. In the movie Don (Stanley Tucci) is husband to Janna (Patricia Clarkson). In the beginning of the film, we find out that their daughter is suddenly killed. This tragedy ends up driving the couple apart. In order to repair their marriage, they decide to start from the beginning. Husband, Don, begins placing online ads to restart the connection with his wife. Using this unique idea of role-playing, they hope to rebuild and repair their tragedy-ridden marriage. They soon begin to communicate and go on blind dates hoping this facade will bring them closer. Blind Date was released in 2008 by Column Productions and Ironwork Productions. Stanley Tucci both starred and directed in this film, which was a remake of the 1996 Theo van Gogh film and which premiered at the 2008 Sun Dance Film Festival.moreless
