Blood for Dracula is a 1974 horror film directed by Andy Warhol protegee Paul Morrissey. Count Dracula (Udo Kier) needs to feast on the blood of a young virgin soon, but because of his local infamy he is finding it hard to find victims in his native Romania. His manservant, Anton (Arno Juerging), suggests that they travel to Italy, a Catholic country which should have a number of virgin victims. The plan is to have the Count pose as a man looking for a virgin bride to take back to Romania. While in a local Italian tavern, Arno hears of a family called Di Fiore with four virginal daughters. Anton is able to convince the family to let the Count and him stay with them. The mother of the Di Fiore family is eager to marry off one of the daughters to bring some much needed money into the family, but the daughters have their own ideas. Complicating matters even more, the Count must deal with a young communist radical, Mario (Joe Dallasandro), who warns that aristocrats like Count Dracula will soon be a thing of the past.moreless
