Blow Dry is a comedy that will keep audiences howling. When the National Hairdressing Championships are hosted in the small village of Keightly, hairdressers from all over flock to town to compete for the presigious title. Shelley Allen (Natasha Richardson), owns the small Keightly hairdressing shop "The Cut Above". Shelly is a divorc''e who left her husband and son ten years ago for her domestic partner Sandra (Rachel Griffiths). Shelley and her former husband, Phil (Alan Rickman) haven't talked in years. Phil, once a talented hairdresser, now owns a barber shop with his their son, Brian (Josh Hartnett). When a former rival and two-time defending British champion Raymond Robertson (Bill Nighy) comes to town, Brian decides to join his mother and fight for the title. Meanwhile, Brian meets Raymond's beautiful daughter Christina (Rachel Leigh Cook). Is she just another part in Raymond's scheming plan to win? As the competition heats up, it's clear that for "The Cut Above" team to win, they need reinforcements! Will Phil forgive his wife and join in the brawl to win the title?
