Blue is a story of a confused boy that begins when Mexican outlaw (Ricardo Montalban) adopts the American orphan Blue (Terence Stamp), who later becomes part of his father's gang that robs neighboring Mexican-American border towns. During one failed robbery, Blue becomes injured, and the generous Doctor Morton (Karl Malden) takes Blue home to care for him. Blue's health slowly returns, and for the first time in his life, he finds a taste for modern society. Blue saves Joanne (Joanna Pettet), Doctor Morton's stunning daughter from a violent attack and afterwards, friendship and passion starts between the two. Slowly, Joanne begins to change Blue's perception of humanity and society, until his father returns from Mexico with his large gang of thieves.
