Dont Look Back is a 1967 documentary film that follows musician Bob Dylan on his concert tour through the United Kingdom in 1965. Also featuring Joan Baez, Donovan, Alan Price, and Albert Grossman (Dylan's manager), the film candidly explores Dylan in his musical heyday. His relationship with Baez had ended prior to the filming of the documentary, however some of the captured footage features the two tying up loose ends. Highlights from the film include Dylan asking Alan Price why he chose to leave "The Animals," Dylan and Baez singing Hank Williams, Dylan's mocking of Horace Freeland Judson (Time Magazine's London arts and sciences correspondent), and a selection of songs Dylan performed at the Royal Albert Hall. Hailed by many as the greatest rock film ever made, Dont Look Back was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry. Directed by D.A. Pennebaker, the opening scene of the film has become the music video for Dylan's song Subterranean Homesick Blues.moreless
