Bob Funk is the story of a divorced alcoholic whose life is starting to slip out of his control. Bob (Michael Leydon Campbell) is the VP of sales for his family's futon empire, but his vices inhibit his effectiveness at work, and eventually his mother (Grace Zabriskie) demotes him to the company custodian. In order to rejoin the sales team, Bob must deal with his demons and turn his life around. He is sent to therapy to start his road to recovery. Meanwhile, futons still need to be sold and Mrs. Funk must hire an able replacement, and she ends up selecting Ms. Thorne (Rachel Leigh Cook). Complicating matters, and continuing his pattern of self-defeating behavior, Bob ends up falling for Ms. Thorne, the very woman who took his job. His road to redemption becomes muddled and his recovery is in doubt. Bob Funk provides a quirky look at the process to sobriety.
