Bob Marley: Heartland Reggae is a documentary on Bob Marley's One Love Peace Concert that took place in Kingston, Jamaica in 1978. Helped by other reggae legends such as Peter Tosh, Jacob Miller, Dennis Brown, and Junior Tucke and other members of the Marley family, the landmark show saw Bob Marley work through a melody of crowd favorites, including "Jamaica," "Stand Up," and "Inspiration." The show was important because it was the first for Marley in his home country of Jamaica after an attempt of Marley's life 16 months prior. Shot over the two years form 1977 to 1978, Bob Marley: Heartland Reggae combines footage from the concert along with interviews and discussions with Marley and others on Rastafarianism as a culture and way of life. With Bob Marley's homeland of Jamaica as a beautiful backdrop, this documentary is regarded as one of the most defining documents of Bob Marley and his timeless music.moreless
