Bobby Jones, Stroke of Genius is a 2004 drama based on the true life story of Bobby Jones. Jones (Jim Caviezel) is a temperamental but talented amateur golfer who made waves in the golf world during the 1920s. Eventually he would go on to found one of the most popular international golf courses around in Augusta National Golf Club (Ga.), but the film shows how his unmatched ambition on the course and sour relationship with the media during that time affected his personal life to such an extent that many thought his future in the sport was in doubt. Eventually, with the help of his wife Mary Malone Jones (Claire Forlani), the sometimes tortured golfer found a way to balance his family life and public scrutiny about his game in a way that allowed him to prosper in both. Bobby Jones, Stroke of Genius was written and directed by Rowdy Herrington.
