Bombs Away

Movie Summary

Director:
Bruce Wilson
Released:
1985
Rating:
PG
Bombs Away is a very unusual comedy in which an outdated atomic bomb named Military Armamount Round, Yellow, or M.A.R.Y. (Mara Scott-Wood) for short, narrates her life story. Her story begins as she tells the tale of how she was accidentally shipped to a Seattle retail store. She was supposed to go directly to a military armory and finds herself confused about her new surroundings. Since arriving in Seattle the atomic bomb finds herself in the middle of a hilarious search and rescue project with her right in the middle. Also involved in the search are the Army, the Feds, and a hilarious cab driver. After the era of nuclear warfare during World War II this movie proves to be a laughter inducing tale that dispels some people's residual fear surrounding atomic bombs and nuclear weapons. The movie is full of surprises and comedic scenes that will keep the audience captivated.
