Bon Cop, Bad Cop (Good Cop, Bad Cop) is the first fully-bilingual Canadian buddy cop film to hit screens. The movie was released in 2006 and was directed by Eric Canuel. Ontarian and Quebecois police departments must join forces when a psychologically-disturbed serial killer leaves a mutilated body hanging from a sign which parallels the border. Martin Ward (Colm Feore) is elected by the Ontario Provincial Police to lead the case. Similarly, David Bouchard (Patrick Huard) is chosen to represent the Surete du Quebec, the French police force. But the case becomes especially difficult when Martin and David realize they have opposing ideals on how to approach the case. Despite their language barriers and contradicting beliefs, the duo must work together in order to catch the killer. The film not only provides dialogue in both languages, it also caters to the specific kinds of humor characteristic to Quebec (Francophone humor) and Ontario (Anglophone humor). Be sure to catch this unique cop comedy. At the very least, you can pic up some French!moreless
