Bonneville is a 2006 comedy drama directed by Christopher N. Rowley. In the film, Arvilla Holden (Jessica Lange) is madly in love with her husband, Joe (Terry Murphy). Their love is cut short when Joe dies on their vacation. An already distraught, Arvilla is preparing to spread her husband's ashes when she receives a phone call from her step-daughter, Francine Holden Packard (Christine Baransky). Francine is a spiteful woman, who dislikes Arvilla. She informs Arvilla that she has Joe's will, from many years ago, that states she is to inherit his ashes and his home. The recent widow knows that Joe had a current will, but after tearing the house apart she cannot find it. Francine suggests a trade, Arvilla can stay in Joe's house if she turns over the ashes. After talking it over with her best friends Margene (Kathy Bates) and Carol (Joan Allen), Arvilla determines she has no choice but to comply with Francine. With her decision made the three ladies start out on a cross-country trip in Joe's 1966 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible to deliver his ashes.moreless
