Bonnie Scotland is an American comedy and the latest in a long series of "Laurel and Hardy" films, dating all the way back to the days of silent cinema. This time, Laurel and Hardy are in prison. They have only one week left to serve, but decide to break out because they're bored of prison life. They stow away aboard a cattle ship and travel to Scotland. There, Laurel finds out that he was mentioned in his grandfather's will. He and Hardy travel to the dead lord's manor, but find out that Laurel's inheritance amounts to nothing more than an old bagpipe and a snuffbox. Stuck in a strange country, with no way to make money, Laurel and Hardy decide to join the Scottish military. They are immediately sent to India where they proceed to get into even more crazy misadventures. This film was shot entirely on location in Scotland and India.
