Boogie Nights is the highly acclaimed drama and awards contender about the booming pornography industry in the California San Fernando Valley of the 1970s. Rising filmmaker Paul Anderson (There Will Be Blood, Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia) announced his arrival with a bang with this searing look into an enigmatic industry that had never been fully explored before in American film. Eddie Adams from Torrance, California (Mark Wahlberg, The Departed, The Fighter, Four Brothers) is working at a nightclub in the Valley letting people glimpse his god given' talent for $10 a pop, so to speak, when he's approached by successful adult filmmaker Jack Horner (the legendary Burt Reynolds, Deliverance, Striptease, White Lightning) about joining his clan of misanthropic smut film actors which include Rollergirl (Heather Graham, Bowfinger), Reed Rothchild (John C. Reily, Step Brothers, Walk Hard), Amber Waves (Julianne Moore, Children of Men, The Kids Are Alright) and many others. Eddie agrees, changes his name to Dirk Diggler, and the troupe is off and running into a wide variety of crazy and outrageous adventures.
