The Book of Revelation is a 2006 film that is based off of the Rupert Thomson novel of the same name. Daniel (Tom Long) is a professional dancer that is abducted in an alley by three women dressed in black hoods. They then torture and rape him repeatedly in an abandoned warehouse for two weeks before dumping him on the side of the street. Daniel then has trouble readjusting to normal life. He can no longer dance, and is confused by normal sexual relations. He then decides to seek revenge by hitting on every woman that speaks to in hopes of finding his abductors. Directed by Ana Kokkinos, the screenplay was adapted by Kokkinos and Andrew Bovell, for which the two received a Best Screenplay adaption from the Australian Film Institute. Also starring Greta Scacchi, Colin Friels, Nadine Gardner, Ana Maria Belo, and Belinda McClory, The Book of Revelation was warmly received by critics upon its release.
