Booty Call is a comedy film that follows the hilarious sexual relationships of two young men. Rushon (Tommy Davidson) is a young, African-American man who has been dating Nikki (Tamala Jones) for seven weeks. They have not consummated their relationship yet as she feels as if she is not ready. Sexually frustrated, Rushon enlists the help of his friend, Bunz (Jamie Foxx). He asks Bunz to go out on a double date with him, Nikki and Nikki's friend, Listerine (Vivica A. Fox). Bunz and Listerine get along very well, and she goes home with him, as Nikki goes home with Rushon. As Listerine and Bunz get ready to have a sexual encounter, she realizes the condoms are lambskin and they do not work as well as latex. Bunz and Rushon embark on a hilarious adventure to find condoms that will suit their lady friends. But they soon find out it is not easy to acquire these condoms. Watch Booty Call to find out if Bunz and Rushon are able to accomplish their goal.

Metacritic Score

  • 70

The New York Times Stephen Holden

This contemporary sex farce, directed by Jeff Pollack, has the attention span of a hyperactive child, but its bawdy sexual humor rarely flags.

  • 70

    Variety

Though straining at the bounds of good taste (and occasionally spilling over), the story remains vigilant in its primary focus.

  • 60

    Los Angeles Times John Anderson

It's not that the movie is never funny. It's just that you don't feel very good when it is.
