Born Yesterday is an American film released in 1950. It was directed by George Cukor. In the film, the wealthy Harry Brock (Broderick Crawford) heads to Washington D.C. in order to buy off a few politicians. He brings along his girlfriend, Billie Dawn (Judy Holliday) and his sneaky lawyer, Jim Devery (Howard St. John). Afraid that the na''ve Billie will ruin his plans, Harry hires Paul Verrall (William Holden) to fill what he believes to be gaps in her knowledge. At the same time, Devery convinces Harry that in order to avoid the snooping eyes of the government, he should sign over his assets to Billie. Things begin to get complicated, however, when Billie and Paul develop feelings for each other. At the same time, we begin to see that Billie may not be as na''ve as everyone thinks.
