Breezy, one of Clint Eastwood's lesser known movies, is a story of a May-December romance. Breezy (Kay Lenz), a free-spirited teenager, has drifted across the country to California, relying on odd jobs and casual relationships to support herself. One day, she hitches a ride from a man who takes her to a remote area and tries to assault her. Barely escaping, Breezy is miles from any town when she finds a lone house on the top of a hill. There, she runs into Frank Harmon (William Holden), a quiet, shy, middle-aged man, preparing to go to work. Breezy gets a ride with him and strikes up a one-sided conversation, talking incessantly. Over the next few days, Breezy finds reasons to reappear at his house and a deepening friendship develops. Breezy declares herself in love with Frank, but Frank is still bitter from a divorce and is concerned about societal norms and being considered lecherous by his friends. The two lovers find much to share when they look beyond their many differences.moreless
