Brian Wilson: That Lucky Old Sun, released in 2008 by Capitol Records, is an accompaniment to the album by the same name. Included in the film is a documentary entitled "Going Home," a live in-studio performance of the entire LP at Capitol Records, narrations with photos and animation, interviews, and commentaries. The "Going Home" documentary highlights the musical past of Brian Wilson and shows the creative work that went into writing and performing "That Lucky Old Sun." The live in-studio performance portrays the ambitiousness of the album because the viewer can see how many other artists contribute to the final sound. There is also an additional live set that includes several familiar Beach Boys songs. Van Dyke Parks wrote the narrations. Along with interviews of the artists involved in the current project, there is also an interview of Brian Wilson conducted by Zooey Deschanel. Brian Wilson and his co-composer, Scott Bennett, provide commentary on each track.
