Bronson Lee, Champion, released in 1975, was directed by Yukio Noda. Bronson Lee (Tadashi Yamashita) desires to save his grandmother's family farm in the mid-western United States and in an attempt to do so he travels to Japan for a martial arts competition. Hoping to win the money for his cause, Bronson is pitted against several of the best martial arts opponents possible. However, there is a dark side to the competition and a corrupt pair of criminals arrange to rig the tournament by setting Bronson up against a vicious opponent named Black Tiger. A second fight with Black Tiger occurs towards the end of the tournament in a great movie twist. There is plenty of martial arts action in Bronson Lee, Champion and a good cast of experienced screenplay fighters. Tadashi Yamashita shows a great amount of skill onscreen that shows his ability offscreen as well. From the training scenes to the tournament fighting, the movie is filled with action and struggle.moreless
