Brooklyn Rules is a 2007 American crime drama produced by Cataland Films. The film is directed by Michael Corrente, written by Terence Winter, and stars Alec Baldwin, Freddie Prinze Jr., Jerry Ferrara, Scott Caan, and Mena Suvari. Set in Brooklyn in the 1980s, Brooklyn Rules follows the tale of a trio of young Italian-American friends, who have known each other since they attended Catholic School together when they were children. The trio includes college student Michael Turner (Freddie Prinze Jr), Carmine Mancuso (Scott Caan), who is involved in the Mafia lifestyle, and Bobby Canzoneri (Jerry Ferrara), who just wants to lead a normal life with his fianc''. However, when Carmine attracts the attention of big-time Brooklyn gangster Caesar Manganaro (Alec Baldwin), the three friends are pulled into the corrupt world of the Brooklyn Mafia. Michael tries to escape involvement and lead a normal life at college with his love interest Ellen (Mena Suvari) and Bobby attempts to do the same.
